Global Protection with International Travel Insurance

Monday, May 18th, 2009

It is always good advice to anybody embarking on any important undertaking to expect the unexpected. This includes traveling to foreign lands with which you are not thoroughly familiar with. Murphy’s Law says that if anything can go wrong, it will. Dealing with whatever goes wrong is often doubly difficult when you are in a place with a different set of beliefs, lifestyle, and culture.

For this reason, it is prudent to have something to fall back on in case of accidents, medical emergencies, lost luggage, rental car damage or loss, and trip cancellations. Nobody would want these things to happen but neither can anybody say with absolute certainty that they will not.

An international travel insurance can provide you with protection sufficient to cover your extra expenses arising of such unfortunate incidents. You will need this because most policies do not include international coverage. If you traveled down to Mexico in your car and accidentally hit another car or a pedestrian, your insurance may not cover such an accident. Or if you, because of an illness or accident, require immediate hospitalization and perhaps an eventual medical evacuation back to the United States, you may be unable to have your expenses reimbursed by your existing insurers because your policies do not cover international expenses.

Payday Advance Loan: Just for me

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

I will be having my birthday next week. I have been working for a year now and so I told myself that I should get a treat for myself. I have saved some money for me to splurge on something that I badly want. For this birthday, I have decided to get myself a brand new laptop. I really want an Apple Mac Air. When I received my salary next month, I would have the money to buy the new laptop I want. Everything is planned already until the great Apple sale made me confused.

Yesterday I went by the Apple store to check on my future ‘baby’. To my surprise, I found out that they are holding a one day great sale next week. My ‘baby’ will be off by 20%. I was really shocked and excited the same time. When I got home I immediately calculated if I can buy the laptop I want. Unfortunately, I was short by quite a bit. I can not wait for next month because the 20% is really a lot. So I decided to try the payday advance loans that I read. It loaned in advance a part of my salary to have the enough money for my new laptop. I was really happy because aside from I got myself an advance present, I even saved 20%.

Tom’s Diary

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

I found a diary from someone named Tom. The diary was old and wrinkled with yellowed pages. The last entry was dated 1989.

The trunk that I bought at a flea market held Tom’s diary. I had no idea if he was also the same owner of the trunk. I tried returning it to the seller at the market, but she also didn’t have any idea who Tom was.

One night, I was browsing Tom’s diary. It told stories of love and adventure. It seems that Tom was fond of whitewater rafting and camping. Tom was married to a woman named Antoinette. She was French while Tom was Australian. They met during a group camping trip and decided to elope to America. Tom and Antoinette had two children named Oscar and William.

I realized I was gripping Tom’s diary really hard that my hand hurt. Tom had a tragic life. His wife was killed in a robbery while his two sons were taken away from him when he started drinking heavily to mourn his wife’s loss.

Tom has begun writing in the diary to heal himself as well as to remain sober. He wrote about the time his son William first learned how to walk and when Oscar came home with a black eye.

Being Ready for Retirement

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

It is normal for employees and workers to retire after some time. As individuals, it is just reasonable for adults to retire at a certain age especially when their physical body can not take the work that they do. The retirement age is usually at the age of sixty but still retiring from work is a prerogative of the employee unless he/she has health concerns that would hinder him/her from working.

When you start to grow old, you should also prepare yourself to retirement. Retiring from work does not only mean having enough money after you have retired. Aside from financial preparedness there are also different aspects that one should prepare from retirement. One of these is the emotional preparedness. Some adults are not emotionally prepared when retiring which leads them into depression and frustration. Before your retirement, you should gradually let go of all the pressure and stress at work. Give yourself a peace of mind and look forward for the greater opportunities when you retire. Look at the positive things about retiring. This will allow you to go the places you have never been to. It will let you do things you have never done before due to your tight schedule. Stop thinking about how useless you will be when you’re retired. Make it as a space for you to maximize and live your life to the fullest. Once you have set your mind on that and you have saved enough money, for sure your retirement days will be filled with happiness.
