Global Protection with International Travel Insurance

It is always good advice to anybody embarking on any important undertaking to expect the unexpected. This includes traveling to foreign lands with which you are not thoroughly familiar with. Murphy’s Law says that if anything can go wrong, it will. Dealing with whatever goes wrong is often doubly difficult when you are in a place with a different set of beliefs, lifestyle, and culture.

For this reason, it is prudent to have something to fall back on in case of accidents, medical emergencies, lost luggage, rental car damage or loss, and trip cancellations. Nobody would want these things to happen but neither can anybody say with absolute certainty that they will not.

An international travel insurance can provide you with protection sufficient to cover your extra expenses arising of such unfortunate incidents. You will need this because most policies do not include international coverage. If you traveled down to Mexico in your car and accidentally hit another car or a pedestrian, your insurance may not cover such an accident. Or if you, because of an illness or accident, require immediate hospitalization and perhaps an eventual medical evacuation back to the United States, you may be unable to have your expenses reimbursed by your existing insurers because your policies do not cover international expenses.
